Michael has 10 years of experience in Employee Benefit Administration. Beginning in 1993 as an entry-level Claims Adjudication Clerk he worked through the ranks to become Internal Controls Auditor. While still working for a TPA, he built overpayment recovery systems and fine-tuned his audit search techniques. In November 2001, he took the first steps toward building Medical Benefit Audits from the ground up.

Kathryn Grant Abernethy has over 18 years of experience in healthcare management and nursing care provision. She has a broad range of expertise including direct care provision, utilization review, quality assurance, continuous quality improvement, inpatient management and outpatient office and patient care management. A licensed and registered nurse, Kathryn is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte having earned a degree of Bachelors of Science in Nursing. Her goals with MBA are to identify inappropriate billing practices and to expedite recovery of inappropriately billed and subsequently paid funds.
